THE PRODUCERS.....BACK TO BASICS

"Back To Basics" ( vocals by Kyle Henderson ) is the lead off song from The Producers 2nd album, "You Make The Heat", on Portrait Records in 1982 / 83 & produced by legendary rock producer, Tom Werman.
In Fact, Tom Werman has said that his departure & dissatisfaction with CBS / Portrait Records lack of enthusiasim,,promotion & support for The Producers made him leave & cut all ties with the record company.
Tom Werman felt The Producers was one of the most original & best bands he had ever heard and or produced.
"Back To Basics" was recorded in 1985 by Christian artist, Benny Hester & Kyle Henderson during Kyle Henderson's Christian music career along with a more "Christian" lyric.


The first Producers album got lost in the skinny-tie-band-boom of a couple of summers ago,but with two years maturity under it's collective belt,this Atlanta band's second LP is much stronger.
Cleverly written hooks,a more mainstream rock approach, and confident playing make this album a step in the right direction with, "Back To Basics",,"Operation",,"Dear John",,"You Make The Heat" and "Chinatown" the best cuts.
