It is hard to see on this video, but there are marks on the surface that help you place your fingers for different pitches.

@worknman2k As far as I know the surface is made of neoprene, that's quite soft so you won't get rub burns that easily ;)

@awfulguitarplucker i think he's using the quantize so it locks u to chromatic pitch but i'm not sure

@LippoldHaken yes and it also has initial pitch rounding, so when you initially hit it it rounds your note to the nearest halftone and then frees you to bend it and slide it wherever.
