make the most of this mate, you may not term it country, but at least their playing live.which is more than some do.

and made the comment that i thought a more traditional kind of backing would fire him into a better all round audience. but to start a song with a ridiculous lead solo while the main man watches is just stupid. wonder if these "country" musicians know anything about Haggard etc.. UK country is dead because of things like this. this guy is good and he doesn't need a band like this. wonder if he was judged for his award with or without the band ????

Thats why UK Country has no credibility anywhere else other than in the UK. Ask a UK country fan anything about real country music and they haven't got a clue.. ok this video was 2008 i think, but i've only watched it because i recently had a newsletter through fron UK Country saying that this guy has won the male vocalist of 2011.

@countryfan929 , well its all a matter of personal taste really, im 26 got hair past my shoulders,play heavy rock a lot of the time and i still play country, theres more to country musicians than dave hartley and john stannard. just my opinion tho.:).

I notice that this video was in 2008. hopefully this guy has a new band now. as this one hasn't got a country bone in their bodies. just another lot that are trying to cash in on a trend like many others i'm afraid. have a look at David Hartley and John Stannard on here if you want to see how it's done properly. get yourself a proper country band Mr Perkins

countrys dead because we,re stuck with same songs band after band and a new band starts with same songs need more like diablos from Brighton or find different songs ,ones that will bring in younger folk oz is much the same with the standard block of songs ,but theres lots of other songs down under to brake them up. support a club go to fests and help bring it back to life not kick it to death
