Man the music in this game is knockout. I just retrieved my C64 from the family home and played it last night for the first time in over 10 years!
This is one that I tried out - cartridge version.

@laffer35 Well. I put Keyset A into joystick port 2 after I did the thing where you select unlimited energy and commence gameplay. Then it showed the ocean and psygnosis presents Shadow Of The Beast thingamabob. Then it showed the words scrolling across and i pressed fire and it went on gameplay. Hope this answers your question. Bye.

@AwollSGF Hardcore / True Gamers don't base a game solely on it's graphics. Gameplay is ultimately what matters the most.
Also for a Commodore 64 system which was 8-bit, these graphics were amazing, hell the game even features parallaxing backgrounds! It was unheard of back in those days on the Commodore 64, 99% of the games on Commodore 64 didn't feature parallaxing backgrounds. Once coders cameup with coding tricks, etc they really opened up the full potential of the Commodore 64's power! :)
