Trying something new here- music less suited to flooded basements and forgotten tunnels, and more suited to the grand expanse of a desolate, sun-baked wasteland.
Why yes I'm a big Fallout fan, why do you ask? :)
Ghoul Detail is a small, little-known experimental project by mostly one guy and his friend out of Northampton, UK. The name comes from a series of anti-war novels set during WW2 centering around a German penal battalion, who due to their status were set to work the "ghoul detail," clearing away the bodies after fighting. Much of GD's work tends to be on the noise end of the musical spectrum, and it's not for everyone, but every once in a while there's a gem like this little song that throws in totally random guitar out of nowhere. There's a very desert-wasteland feel to it, which is part of why it's one of my favourite songs to throw into Fallout 3.
Ghoul Detail hasn't posted any new songs in 2 years, but you can still find their music here: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=147176
Great ambient sounds. Never really got into the Fallout series, but I like the old Wasteland. Rabbit is reduced to a thin red paste.
