Time or rhythm is not the biggest issue here: it's just a question of not holding the tempo between sections. The problem here is the addition of bars here and there, which ruins the balance of form, like at 1:06. It sounds like he's starting the section again or doesn't remember what comes next.
There are good points too: listen to the nice harmony at 2:21.
I have got a fuckin great sheet music version of this piece. It is difficult no doubt. If you have any issues about timing or rhythm you really should be practicing this not trying to perform it. I'd go as far as to say I have not heard a decent version on u tube as yet. Sorry
exactly what I was thinking about - it's more a "classics meets stride" but an unfortunate try I guess - stride is soul and guts, you can't play it with white gloves on a grandpiano placed on a opera house
Great performance. Light, fun, pushes and pulls the time nicely. I like his feel for the Rag and hope that he posts some more tunes, in different styles if he's got it in him! :)
Wonderful!!

Good work! Not an easy piece. Where did you get the music? Been after this one for ages sounds mostly like fats waller version.
