  • Eric Burdon's finest moment.

THIS is exactly what Burdon should have focussed on after ditching the original Animals: tight, hard-hitting soul music obviously well suited for him... unfortunately the dated psychedelic ramblings he churned out next could not have been further removed from this gut-busting performance.

If only Burdon could have got himself signed to Stax or Atlantic.... what could have been.

  • Its so great to have these videos posted just so the younger kids can look back to solid performers and groundbreakers.

  • EXTRAORDINARY!

  • @handshock.... yeah blah blah he wrote...but for you to say he is highly over rated...your statement is severely exagerated...you have no soul....aw forget it you can,t reason with stupidity!!!

  • @HandShock whats the name of the drugs u take?

  • @HandShock he also wrote - These Arms of Mine, Security, That's What My Heart Needs, Chained and Bound, Mr. Pitiful (Co wrote), Ole Man Trouble, I've Been Loving You Too Long (Co wrote) and many many more. Otis is the king

  • Otis Redding highly overrated. Okay, he wrote Respect, and co-wrote Dock of Bay with the lead guitarist, Steve Cropper. I'm mystified by his appeal as a 'soul' singer..Eric stole the show here and showed him what a soul singer actually sounds like.

  • Eric Burdon is incredible but I'm sure he would be the first to tell you that there was nothing like Otis Redding.

  • I would've loved to be around when Jim Morrison and Otis first met, Otis dead and gone...R.I.P.

  • defo burden at his best

  • i wonder how did eric felt singing with otis

  • having seen otis and eric live lots of times in 60's i can tell you the music scene was just great pre walkman and diskman and ipod we carried our transistor radios everywhere listening to music. great times. today there is little originality.apart from smashing pumpkins...
