  • Even though this episode isnt the greatest from the classic series, il still get it due to its Sylvester's 1st episode. He had a tough time like Colin Baker did when they took over to be the Doctor

  • Ive heard that Time and the Rani isnt a very good story and ive never seen it, but to be honest, i think it looks like a Brilliant story from what clips and other things ive seen on the net. Sylvester McCoy is my fave alongside Pat Troughton and Matt Smith so its goanna have to be a must for me i think.

  • @CarlViola well it was written with the anticipation of Colin Baker returning, and when that never happened it was rewritten for McCoy, and as such Mccoy's doctor is out of character, why JN-T didn't commmision a new script from another writer when mccoy was cast is beyond me.

  • I bought the episode on home video back before dvds were invented and I didn't think it was really a very bad episode. I would say it was about average for the time it was made really. Could it have been better? Yeah, so could all the episodes back then but it is what it is and always had a fondness for McCoy's Doc.

  • Had potential but this story is a mess that not even a min trailer can save.

  • Quite a boring story. The production suffered. This is the worst of Syl's first series though. I think the rest is rather good. Especially Delta and Dragonfire

  • @kamwrites LOL no not the only one, i think who fans have been doing this for many years, although min e was done with a mic up to the TV, but my brother used to make noise deliberately, swine

  • My only issue with this episode is, The Rani looks like a Charlie's Angels cast-off, and Mel got on my ever-lovin last nerve.

  • @acesigma06 Wow. I thought I was the only one who did that. I used to set a cassette recorder on top of my tv and record shows...VCRs were a wonder to me when they came out! If mom came in the room I blew a gasket because she'd talk over the recording...LOL! Definitely happy days!

  • This has always been my fav McCoy story, i even remember taping bits onto my tape recorder so i could listien to my favourite bits, happy days
