  • Why go to school when you can watch howstuffworks.

  • Actually most common fire extinguishers today are a dry chemical, not CO2 gas...it helps them put out more than just a paper fire by smothering the fire rather than displacing oxygen in the atmosphere. It's more efficient in an open-air environment where more oxygen just rushes back in to the still-hot fuel and reignites it.
