@TheRedDash Johnny Cash will forever be a legend.. Follow his story, u can feel his music.. Man had a lot of soul, which is more than being categorized as just "country". He's such a genius in his craft, a true artist.

Never listened to any Johnny cash songs but I never knew he covered "hurts" from nine inch nails and friggan "personal Jesus" from my favorite number 1 group Depeche Mode!! Awesome. I thought he was just strictly country. At least he listen to other thins besides that

@Titchwolffenriz The song has nothin to do with religion and believing in Jesus. Its a metaphor that every person translate it differently. :)

@UTDMyHeaven Hope is all we got!

@UTDMyHeaven The hype about Steve jobs scare me. Somtimes ago we had Dostojewski, Martin Luther King, Hunter S. Thompson. This People Change the World in good. Look /watch?v=p2MKzO9MfrE

I don't buy the Martin Gore explanation of what the song is about. The lyrics do not 100% fit his explanation. He claims that it is about how Priscilla said in her book "Elvis and Me" that Elvis was her man and her mentor and how often that happens in love relationships but the lyrics are written not from Priscilla's point of view, but Elvis' point of view.

@seanstrife im going by an interview that depeche mode did where they said what the meaning of the song meant
funny how the same lyrics can mean something entirely different.

"10 years ago we had Steve Jobs, Bob Hope, Johnny Cash now we have no Jobs, no Hope, no Cash". God bless them all.
