at around 3:05 when you say to change the material and everything I cant do that because it says " there are no settings defined for this tool " PLEASE HELP ME!

The statement at ~5:30 actually isn't true. Pressing 6 on the keyboard will actually allow you see the texture applied to the mesh without generating an image of the scene.

Great, make it easier. This is the best tutorial I ever seen. The original acrobat reader document from autodesk with 700+ pages doesn't give you the easy and quick learning of this videos . Thanks again!!!!!!!!

This was a really good tutorial, i liked it very much.

I remember I started with maya 1-2 years ago but I gived up becaus I didn't find some good tutorials but know am here again and learning Maya :D

I als want to say, this with hypershade was the most difficult when I tried to leran maya, but you explane it very very good.

I am happy you did this tutorial, and would be more happy if you got time and you want to create more tutorials :)

This would have made more sense in HD quality. And yes I am aware HD was not an option when this video was released. I'm just saying! Nevertheless, a great set of videos. Thank you for taking the time out to do these.

Make sure you have the "Polygons" menu set selected (see top, left - if it shows "Animation" or something else (ie anything other than "Polygons"), you won't see the Mesh Menu.

I have a question, when you say in your videos for Learn Maya to click on mesh or edit mesh, i have no tool bar menu that says that. I did once see it up there on the tool bar and I don't know how I did that. So can you please Help me out. Oh and one more thing, your videos on Learn Maya are the best, I have learned a lot from them. Your great!

On the right of your keyboard, there are numbers, from 1 to 9. Press number 5 =) Easy !
