if you haven't found your way to the willienelsonpri channel yet, you're in for a treat! go check it out, you'll love it.
there you'll get to read (and see and hear) all about the powerful, peace invoking song willie nelson's daughter amy heard her father sing in a dream, and how they decided to give amy's dream music away for free to us musicians and videographers, to use as a springboard for creativity, for inspiration, to spread this magical song's visionary message.
Youtube friends, i gotta tell you, i'm falling in love with Y'all all over again... i've been slowly but surely plowing through the *videos shared with you* list, rediscovering some people i'd stumbled across now quite a while back, real shiners, and too newly discovering such a treasure trove of brave and lovely, strong and gentle, sometimes hurting or angry but ever so human spirits --true hearts! i love you guys! i soooo want to give you all a hug! tulifuli! liz! concha! itsfilthy! an so on! contraelgobierno! the lot of yez! (you know who you are!) such as the likes of yez is what still gives me hope... especially if you ever thought, like i do, that violence was the dumbest, worst excuse for something to do if you're unclear about what's happening or can't find a quick or easy solution to your or anybody's problems, some of us in our middle years have noticed that wars and even revolutions, the really violent ones, never really fixed anything for the poorest most oppressed among us! so! why not try then, instead of the one, singularly most simplistic but deadly solution, war, why not go for for some slow, well thought out, possibly complex solutions next, and if those don't fix everything think of some more peaceful approaches, try a different approach now and again, maybe better than the easy fix in the long run, eh? if you think war is bloody hell, ugly, mean dirty and too expensive and ugh! what a mess! if you believe war never really solves the problems of us humans or our planet, and you believe (c'mon, believe it!) in seeking multiple, creative, intelligent, informed, loving, compassionate, global and local, ecologically sound, life affirming, just, fair, freedom loving, respect restoring, truly diverse and therefore healthier, more beautiful, peaceful (that's key!) solutions, then i believe in you and you are truly dear to me.
There's a peaceful solution. It's called peaceful revolution
Now let's give back America.
There's a war-- we gotta end it,
Let's not lie to defend it!
We gotta get our conscience back, America.
It's a dream, now believe it,
Get ready to receive it.
We gotta give back America!
To the people of first nations
Teaching wisdom, love and patience
We gotta give, give back America.
War is over, no one won it!
Let's remember what we done
Let us study war no more, America!
It's a dream, now believe it.
Get ready to receive it!
Don't let's ever, ever make a war again.
There's a peaceful solution,
no more war no more pollution-
Let us heal the deal with hemp, America.
Jefferson and Edison
Would be proud if we grew medicine
Healing energy for all the earth,
America
There's a peaceful solution, it's called peaceful revolution
And its gonna heal the world
not just America!
We are children of the earth,
Peace and freedom ours from birth.
Keep your eyes on the prize, hold on!
There was a peaceful solution
It was a healing evolution
When we gave and gathered love & peace,
America!
these lyrics were inspired by amy and willie nelson, and encouraged by liz o and norman b, irishmossdubwise, tuli kupferberg et al. they were written and sung by Grrrl Ray T of medicinesocks accompanying (my)self briefly on guitar
I really enjoyed this and i'm honestly kind of a music snob.

This is beautiful. Very raw and honest. Again, your voice is soothing to the ear.

thank you elly. see what i mean about beauty? i have never felt more ravaged, more disfigured, more humiliated and humble about my looks than i do now. i am in the midst of a struggle with typical american health insurance madness-the removal of my teeth was approved, but not as yet the making and fitting of the dentures i need to not have to live as a toothless hag- still this project needed completing so i let go my ego. and you say you find it beautiful!? that's what i call true love, you see
