WHAT HAPPENED TO TAMON ROBINSON?
"Tamon Robinson, 27, was allegedly spotted by NYPD around 5:30 AM on April 12th stealing cobblestones from the Bay View Houses, a public housing complex in.
Robinson, the police reported, ran to his mother's building after being spotted. The police, two officers on foot and others in a patrol car, then chased him onto the sidewalk to cut off his escape.
Despite reports from two eyewitnesses who saw Robinson cornered and then struck by the car, the police maintain that he ran into the car.
Police at the scene pulled Robinson from under the car, yelling 'Wake up! Wake up!' before bouncing him off the hood of the car."
The NYPD now says it is investigating its officer's role in Mr. Robinson's death.
