Check out Aldrine's play along!

Edit: After the 2nd intro riff, chunk then play a "G" chord instead of chunking then "C". Thanks to workinonmyself for pointing this out.

Like the video said, I received a request to make a tutorial video for Jack Johnson's Banana Pancakes.

I forgot to mention that my uke is tuned in standard c6 tuning.

  • during the intro i think youre missing a note. after the first slide theres three notes then another slide, but it ssounds like its missing a note

  • @itsmaddietime and thehappycamper101

You're probably right. Like I said, I used the tabs from tropical storm hawaii, which aren't always reliable.

If I did skip a part, I'm sorry. I might take a listen and redo it.

  • dude no offense or any thing but try playing G instead of that C chord u were using bro sounds more better

  • @sindalucreed671 I'm pretty sure I put an annotation up at that part. I also updated the info part. It says "play a G instead of a C".

  • Great tutorial! the only thing is that I couldn't figure out how to chunk....:{ it would be way nice if you could explain:)

  • check my comment to rotundalover below. that's the best explanation of chunking. Check the side bar too, i'll try to post a direct link to the video.

  • @itsmaddietime

It's an open E after the E third fret.. and right before the slide to the 5th fret

  • Dude your tutorials were soo helpful!! Thankyou!

  • @MormonAlaskachick "chucking" search that

  • I LOVE THIS! thank you

this was posted on my birthday yayy :P

  • really helpful thankyou!

  • @Ryrod I think you just play an open E string in between the 5th-fret E pick and the 3rd-to-5th fret slide, which you forgot to mention in the individual picking section of the video (intro one), but do play when you put all the parts together. This is around minute 4:15
