  • @timmy47 Timeless movies don't rely on CGI, which is WAY overused now. I feel like there really isn't any creativity in movies anymore, because no one has to think of creative ways to get the shots. Everyone just uses a computer. For example, in The Wizard of Oz, they had to make the colorful sets. For the new Alice in Wonderland, they didn't even bother really making the sets. It was just a green screen movie, which broke my heart. Gone are the days of Jurassic Park and Labyrinth =[

  • This movie was art. Movies today are computer generated. I prefer art.

  • Plus, in fiction, best friends--who may even begin as enemies--usually get together if they're the opposite sex (and even sometimes, if they're the same sex, like Uranus & Neptune in Sailor Moon).

  • If she was drunk, so was Arty, since the time-travelling affected both of them. In fact, because of his tampering with magic, Arty might as well be part fairy now, especially since he & Holly have switched eyes & Orion was a result of both The Atlantis Complex & from his average teen hormones from years of being with Holly, both as foe & friend. Yes, Minerva was a Mary Sue, but since she's only in 1 book, she's also a one-shot character.

  • @TherealRNO That was a one-time thing, and she was essentially "drunk" at the time!

*shouts the embarrassed fangirl who is in complete denial* ;)

Besides, they seemed at one point to be setting up a Mary-Sue of some sort for him.

  • David Bowie has such an adorable laugh <3

  • I am amazed with the tricks they used to control the puppets. This is genuine creativity in cinema. I love all movies directed by Jim Henson, but this is my favourite, for the presence of David Bowie . So few directors keep on working this way...Ridley Scott is an example.

But the mayority use digital effects, that does not deserve any ovation, from my point of view.

  • 3:23 LOL

  • @ApologizeLovely: In terms of these pairs I listed, they're all on the same page emotionally, even despite the age gap, because most of them can tell what their partner is thinking.

  • @TherealRNO You misunderstand. I mean emotional age difference. Aang and Katara worked because technically they were still at the same level of maturity and growing up.

  • @ApologizeLovely: Well, Orion cements A/H for mw. That & over the course of their time together, both of them felt Stockholm Syndrome. Plus, in fiction, age rarely matters (BJ/Lyds [moviee & TV show canon], Aang/Katara [TV series canon with Aang technically being 112], Slade/Terra [Titans' 80s source comics canon], Frankie/Mac [represented in reality through Foster's creator Craig McCracken as Mac & his wife in MLP: FiM's Lauren Faust as the inspiration for Frankie], etc.).

  • @TherealRNO I'm not a Arty/Holly shipper...If they were closer in age equivalent, sure but since her human age is like....2something and he's 15 or something now, it's just so gross.
