@KatamariJr It's usually a roll between two eighth notes.
-
5 strokes? whats up with that
-
@cril1001001 thats how my band director is too except it sound good for half the people not knowing what they are doing
-
i heard where you switched from stroking the doubles to bouncing them
-
solamente hace un ritmo de doble stroke con ritmo de malambo y agrega un golpecito al final XD
-
I hate those pads, so hard on the hands. Loooovveee this rudiment though, 7's are more fun :)

@skater15153 I see where your coming from and i agree with you, rehersal if you have a percussion instructor can be used to introduce different rudimentrs that you take home in master but it isnt a time for grinding your chops
-
im used to starting with the left hand over and over but this helps mental focusing as well.

haha i wasn't saying rudiments are a waste of time, i was saying they are a waste of time during band practice. I practice rudiments constantly but I don't do it during rehearsal. It's the kind of thing that you should do on your own time. I was merely commented on a band director choosing to spend the bands time like that.
My band director hasn't actually taught our percussion section anything since I was in probably 7th or 8th grade, and I'm a junior. He hands us music, we play it. Almost everyone is terrible.
