Alex Rodriguez hits a home run off a camera in game 3 of the 2009 World Series against the Phillies. Umpires originally didn't call it a home run, but after seeing a replay the call was reversed.
The camera is clearly extended over the railing. The railing is out of play. By extending over the railing, it is in the field of play. There's no reason that camera needs to be there in the first place, and by there I mean over the fence. If it can't fit behind the rail and in foul play, then it shouldn't have been there. They could have easily put it on the other side of the foul pole.
@NEpats4life it hit the lens, which was hanging over the fence, the camera was based on the other side of the wall but the camera was in the field of play
@playerdepimp are you serious? youre delusional if you dont think the ball would have gone out of the park, it drilled the camera, which was OVER the fence, how can you not see that, you must be blind, arod even knew it from over 300 feet away. im pretty sure umps who saw the replay on top of 20 years experience know better than you.
this was a bull call, the camera should have been in the field of play. and how can u think that it would have went out if the camera wasn't there? there is no way to really tell but the camera was moved back in game 4. GO PHILLIES 2011!!!
Anybody who says that was not a home run is either retarded or blind. If the camera wasnt there, the ball would have gone over the wall.

The Cowboy Joe West rule clearly states, if it hits a fan’s Phillies hat it’s an out.
If it hits a camera in play and a Yankee it hit it, it’s an automatic grand slam.
If the bases were loaded, the Yankees get eight runs.
