How can you tell if the person you have a crush on is NOT interested in you?

So you like this person, but he/she doesn't return your texts, avoids you in the hall, and looks everywhere but at you when you're talking. These are signs that he/she is not interested in you. Body language and eye contact are key. If this person makes a beeline the other way when you walk by, he's not into you! Or if you are standing in a group and you start talking, but he fumbles with his watch, find someone else!

ok. im in a terrible situation then. The girl like sends me short texts, but if i get annoyed and tell her ill talk to her later, SOMETIMES she'll send me huge detailed messages on any subject. And we dnt like near each other so i dont get to see her very much, so everytime before we hang out, she'll act very happy and excited, andd while we're hanging out, she'll give me mixed signals. I have to respectfully disagree with this. It seems like many people think the universal solution is to play hard to get. Maybe a little bit of hard to get is okay but in general I think playing hard to get just confuses things.It's better in the long run to keep things as honest as you can.The main thing is to always respect another person's boundaries and feelings. If someone's going to like you, they'll like you without having to pretend you're not interested, just don't come on too strong.
