I would have liked to see more of the Elvis stuff! lol.

They had those exercise machines throughout the '70s, too! It wasn't just a Forties foolishness: these contraptions endured!

This is pretty neat. I'd like to get a coal stove for my rustic cabin. I believe they are pretty clean and nice, but they do require a lot of work. Plus you have to dump them out.

My grandmother cooked on a wood stove until she died in the 1970s. As I recall, it wasn't "smokey and smelly" but it was an intensive labor device requiring quite a bit of skill and strength to use!

Cool video, love the commentary. I still think women (and men) should fix themselves up a little more nowadays when they go out in public. I've seen some scary ppl out there with pj bottoms, faded old sweats and their hair like a crow just escaped from it. Nothing wrong with grooming ppl! lol Life is short, look nice!

@BLUSEESYOU I couldn't agree more.
Even the poorest homeless bum from the 1930s looked better then many people we see today.
I wear 1940s vintage every day, including the hairstyle and stockings.
But today people don't dress up for anything, many don't even bother changing for the cinema, theatre or official gatherings!
