Part 3. TNAT information Technate Design

This is a series of lectures given by a member of TechnocracyInc. This series explains basics of the Technate design for North America.
This series was recorded in 1980. The information presented, accurately portrays the Technate design for North America.
That information is also available in the original paper copy of the Technocracy Study Course... the precedent document regarding the Technate scientific social design.
The Technate design precludes special interest groups.
It is based on science and is not an oligarchic belief system concept.
It uses a system called energy accounting. It is not a political system.
It is not connected to any other groups or ideas other than the Technical Alliance... the original group that presented these ideas.
The Technate design is the viable alternative to the current Price System method.
Investigate and join with us to make the information concerning this subject available to interested parties.
As our resource base becomes destroyed we begin to bumper up on a time when real alternative ideas must be used if survival is desired.
The Technate design provides abundance within the context of sustainability.
It does not use the scarcity based system that has been employed in the past (the Price System).
The use of mechanical energy has altered the reference points concerning how a society can be governed. Functional governance is now possible. The Technate design is secular and humanitarian... creative and imaginitive.

@powpanda Pretty much. We all know collapse is coming. Maybe after that.... change but sadly it will mean die off starvation... for many.

In a society that is a technocracy how would you take care of things like defense? The only way I can think of is to make everyone that is physically able join the military.

@LTS1287 - Defense is part of the Sequences of government. In a sense everyone in a technate would be in the military... though a kind of civilian military... if that makes sense. It is a science only based system ... so aspects of defense are also decided in that way. What makes the most sense. If North America were a technate... probably no one would mess with it. Also the Russians with around 32% of the world resource base could do it and ally with a North American one.

So...as I watch this...gas is nearly 5 dollars...Gold is trading at an all time high.....silver at 50 bucks..and the dollar is collapsing...I'm an disillusioned college student destined to end up in a cubicle job for the rest of his life...and im pissed off....revolution of the mind happening

@sweYoda2: That's very idyllic but it may not be the case. What happens if it is only one country that is a technate? I'd say defence is pretty damned important.

Stockpiling is a great way to create scarcity. You can completely influence the value of a commodity if you have the monopoly necessary to horde all of it for yourself. Just look at what's been done with diamonds... those worthless rocks...
