Kefir, the Tibetan Mushroom, will give you an endles supply of healthy yoghurt. It is simple to use as all you really do is add milk today and drink the yoghurt you started yesterday. This short demonstration gives an idea of how uncomplicated the process is. Use ceramic, plastic or glass containers and tools, Kefir does not like metal. Do not keep the little fellas in a fridge, they don't like the cold. The mushrooms, or grains, are alive and they just keep growing as long as you keep them happy. Throw them away when they grow too big, or give them to friends. They will last a long time if you follow the basic rules. Bon appetit!

  • I've read that it's better to not rinse the grains between milk batches because the chlorine and fluoride in the water can damage them.

I've been making delicious kefir for 2 months straight now, and I haven't rinsed them once. Saves some valuable time, too!

    =)

  • @kumbhaka I never washed my kefir until I saw this video. I did gently rinse them with pure water and my next batch was quite active and there was much more noticeable growth with the kefir. I've only done this once, and I will experiment to see if it was just a 'fluke' or not.

  • io son del parere di non lavare mai i grani specie vedendo come li maltratti te.

  • hi i just stared to make a kefir but i want to know some say i should cover with cotton clothe and i been using the plastic container cover is it ok?

and it tayst very like a strong vinegar is it normal??

  • @LuxuriousLuxembourg

Well, I can see you have been there long enough...what makes you to stay there? The kefir grains?

After a while you will get fed up with man wearing a hat and gloves while driving with 30km/h everywhere and gets upset when a lady driver takes them over :D or worse the self exhibiting naked man in bambesch forest!

You can enjoy Luxury on the cote d'azure or monaco where at least sunny and women are beautiful.

Well the last one might not be a bonus for you LOL

  • @Norbeemagination lol this country is bower incent or something like that. family banging each other and having kids. that come out all retarded.

  • @LuxuriousLuxembourg

well I have used them grains since childhood. Very beneficial for the human body!

Besides the whole youtube is loaded with info and as a last resolution there is wikipedia.

When I have lived in Luxembourg I have showed these grains to many many people and they were disgusted to put their hands into the fermented milk...I think that is the result of being loaded with money hate everything what is foreign, especially foreigners so they can make dumb inbreed kids...LOL

  • @Norbeemagination funny u seem like the brainless one with no cells here. its for a friend of mine. :) but u already knew that smarty pants.
