Short greeting for tahrir, تحية قصيرة للتحرير

Translation:
I would like to send a message to all Egyptians we are making their way to Tahrir and all the squares and streets of Egypt. We support you, we are behind you, and we are thinking of you. We are the estranged Egyptians, the diaspora, who are far from the homeland. Despite that, Egypt is in our hearts. We would have loved to be with you in the streets and squares, and while we are not, we are extremely proud of what you have accomplished up to this point. We are well aware of the important political role that you play and the impact of Tahrir for the future of Tahrir. We celebrated with you when you toppled Mubarak, and we rejoice with you in celebrating our first free parliamentary election. But we are not as naive as many think. We are well aware that during the past year, the Supreme Council for Armed Forces (SCAF) has hijacked the revolution and attempted to plant in its place divisions and sectarianism in Egyptian society all to create conflict between competing political factions. They have set up military trials for civilians which has seen more than 12,000 civilians sentenced so far. Not to mention all the violations that have been committed by the military and the security apparatus in Egypt against the revolutionaries and peaceful protesters. Quite frankly we are disgusted. We want to see democracy flourish in every institution. We demand the purification of the military, the police, the state media, the judiciary and all institutions in the country. Despite our absence today, Tahrir which you created with your hands, your conscience, and your love for the country now lives in the heart of every Egyptian in Australia, Canada, the UK, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, or anywhere else in the world. When Tahrir Square pulsates, so do our hearts. Your sacrifices will not be forgotten by history or by us. So once again we express our gratitude to you, we are behind you as you complete the journey.
