Celtic Proverb: "The Druid and the King are the two kidneys of the kingdom."

I discuss what this proverb has come to mean to me. And, for an application of this concept to corrent politics: http://www.pjtv.com/video/Afterburner_with_Bill_Whittle/The_Dowd_Conundrum%3A...

  • I think in a way philosophy is full of doubt and a good leader needs to be able to make a firm standing decision without much doubt. A philosopher I think needs doubt to explore all sides of an issue. Both of those personalities in one I would think would be too indecisive or preoccupied to be effective at either role.

  • Well put. I think that's it in a nutshell.

  • Really interesting video :-)
