Of course he wont tell you that the Catholic church hates Christian Zionism because it only reserves the title as "new jerusalem". Most Christians don't realize that Israel does not allow evangelism, and witnessing in its country.

Evangelical Christians historically in the US, have separated themselves from politics. Their pastors told them not to vote, and to take no part in the political process.

That all changed when the Neo-Cons started their move for power in the late 70's and early 80's. All of a sudden, big names in Christian leadership started advocating voting. The rest is history.
