Troops take control of another camp of One Four Base
The gallant soldiers have overrun "Jeevan Base" another camp of the One Four Base Complex of the terrorists located South of Nayaru in Mullaitivu.
Our special representative Kasun Gunatilake reporting from the Wanni battlefront said the security forces succeeded in capturing this base after skirmishes throughout yesterday. Troops of the 58th Division, which began their operations from the Mannar Front, had already passed Mulangavil, South of Kilinochchi, after successfully taking control of LTTE strongholds such as Vedittalthivu, Vellankulam and Mulangavil.
Brig. Shavindra Silva who led the operations said the war heroes were able to capture Mulangavil, considered as the LTTE administrative area. The LTTE made attempts to protect it. However, the Brigadier added that the war heroes successfully captured it.
