yes, I got the transfer!
---------------------
There's a place that's really good
Called Whole Foods - Hollywood
If I could come by in person I would
But since I live 1,200 miles away
I wrote this simple song to say
Why I'd like to transfer that way

I've been with Whole Foods since last June
And I've no plans to quit it soon
There's no other place I'd rather work
My passion lies in healthy foods
And helping planet earth be true
And having fun with all my team members

I'm all for whole foods, whole people, and whole planet
I'm moving west and would love to stay with Whole Foods Market

Working keeps me energized
I'm motivated day or night
I'll gladly do much more than I'm assigned
Staying busy and efficient
Washing dishes, roasting chickens
Making pizzas, and everything in between

Having open availability
To work whenever there's a need
Makes me a helpful member of the team
When there's a call-out in the deli
Or a no-show in the bakery
I'm the go-to girl to cover shifts

'Cause here at Whole Foods, I help out, wherever help is needed
I'm moving west and would love to stay with Whole Foods Market

When there are problems I will look to solve it
Being solution-oriented
I'll think outside the box to find a way
A faster way to sell the breads
A cleaner way to package cakes
Or neater ways to set up our displays

If you're still listening by now
Thanks for hearing me out
Working at your store's my biggest dream
But if someone else is more qualified
I still hope that I can find
Another spot to join in on your team!

'Cause I'm for whole foods, whole people, and whole planet
I'm moving west and would love to stay with Whole Foods Market!

  • Just don't have a stroke like Ed Francis of St. Louis who was promptly fired with no compensation. Good olde Whole Foods or as friends & family of Ed Francis like to call them, Whore Foods. However KWMU Radio has allowed Ed to return to his week-end spot as host/announcer for Prairie Home Companion. Nice performance though.

  • As a career coach, I have some thoughts. The job seeker did a lot really well:

    * Creative approach using quite a bit of moxie.

    * Took the time to find out the hiring manager's name.

    * Expresses great enthusiasm for the company and its mission

    * Gives numerous specific examples of how she has gone above and beyond the typical job description

    * Is humble and appreciative

    * Keeps everything short and to the point.

To improve: more eye contact, maybe more professional clothes. Great job though!

  • what a tool

  • That was great.

  • awesome

  • This is awesome and utterly inspiring! :D

  • If they don't hire you they are nuts!~ I am sure there is market here for you in california

  • Congrats on the job! it sucks since i want to move to Portland and i wish i thought of that first...maybe just a normal singing song?

  • Did you get the job?!!?

  • So adorable! Congrats on the job! :)
