too much of the actual knotting was out of frame. Maybe the camera was zoomed in too much because what may have seemed small movements to you were moving in and out of camera view.

Looks like a nice finish-knot, but the last half of your tutorial was blurred, your fingers were out of the picture or they blocked the knotwork.
-
cant see how you do the end due to your fingers being in the way...

Nice video. If you are interested in an even bigger knot to terminate your lanyard, lookup Double Footrope or Manrope in Ashley's.
-
Hard to see the detail at the end because your fingers obscure the knotting

Thanks for the video. Before I found your video, I was only finding people that just melted the last knot of a crown sinnet. This is a much more workmanship-like finish.

I have found that the spike on those marlinspike knives really causes snags and mars on my paracord when working with it. Did you modify the spike in any way?

@KnottNutts it does snag if i'm not careful and sometimes if i am. but i think it's worth the risk for the usefulness of it.

Really cool, man! Does the spike actually work well? I'm sure it's excellent on rope knots, but not so sure on the small cordage.

@DemonHide it works surprisingly well on small knots. You would imagine the tip isn't fine enough but it manages to work it's way in. however if the knot is really tight it does take it a bit to get started.
