Check the flags at top there is a lot of wind to the right so it's most because of the wind :)

i've done this once, just need enough power and no spin, to make it curve. not to mention aiming inside the court

I hate trying to pass floaters that get all crazy like that!

Its similar to hitting with your thumbs up. You wouldn't contact the ball like you normally would with the middle finger at 12 o'clock but instead your pointer finger at 1 o'clock (11 o'clock for leftys). Then you snap from there. I like to call it the banana serve (:
