This wonderful ballad was written and recorded by dJordi in Melbourne, Australia on the day after Schapelle Corby's unjust and barbaric sentence was awarded in March 2005. It is a song from the heart, a heart which goes out to Schapelle as she suffers in absolute desperation.
Now, for the first time, it is available on YouTube, and has been released via the new 'Artists for Schapelle' platform from Schapelle.Net.
Schapelle Corby is an innocent victim of a much bigger game. She landed in Bali in October 2004 to find that 4kg of marijuana had been placed in her board bag.
Her world collapsed around her, as she was illegally interrogated for 9 hours, and then subjected to a show trial which beggars belief. The court refused to test the drugs for country of origin (if they were Indonesian she could not have imported them), they refused to fingerprint or DNA the bags, and the then burned this evidence so it could never be used to free her. The judge, who had never acquitted anyone in over 500 drug cases, refused to even order the
collection of CCTV from the airport. Schapelle Corby didn't have any chance at all: she didn't have a trial.
She was then sentenced to an horrific 20 years in the hell of an Indonesian prison cell, longer than murderers, rapists and terrorists often receive. She is still there now. She needs YOUR help.
Schapelle's cries for justice help are not heard and her tears are not seen. Schapelle needs YOU to speak out for her, to act for her. Please don't walk away... please visit www.schapelle.net for more information on exactly what happened and how you can help.
This is a great song. I absolutely love it. They should use it on TV when they show footage of Schapelle on free to air. What a great idea!.
