all depents on the file grid your using, some times a regular file will demage the nail even more then a fine drill file, you just have to know how to use a file. but is your choice, and how fast you want to go, I show the two tecnics. you deside!

Ps. I use the DFS or Edge Nails. Both are good.

with the forms you dont need a super strong drill, is not the much that you have to drill, the one you have is fine. I got it from a beauty supply and it wasnt expensive.
