I saw a documentary about this brave man today. The part where he visits a German war grave almost had me in tears (especially when he said 'Years ago they were my enemy, today they are my brothers')

@TheSirRoberto He was offered, he told them to get lost. He was anti-war he was disgusted at the British State for sending young men to be slaughtered. A true hero.

@berserker276 maybe because all his friends killed in the war were just chucked in a ditch somewhere, yet just because he was lucky enough to survive, he gets this huge ceremony. Not my opinion but the opinion of some, I believe.
