@jacobcmills No there not glued like on most laptop transformers, there are a series of plastic clips that snap using my method. The clips do break so it has to be glued back together but it dont mark the plastic too much. Try snapping one clip, holding the gap open with another screwdriver then moving on to the next one and so on.
i dont know if Magsafes are not made equally or what, but i just tried this on the same supply that i did my video with and was unable to get same result... did mar up the plastic pretty good trying tho... from what i read before i attempted my repair vid said that the plastics were actually glued so i operated on that assumption.
