This is from the Summer '99 Playstation Underground Jampack, and is a Behind the Scenes look at WCW Thunder, but more importantly is a look back for WCW fans.

The developers actually thought they made a good game. WCW Nitro and WCW Thunder were crap IMO, but this vid is good for nostalgia purposes for WCW fans.

  • at 3:23 is that nick? hogan's son?? maybe it is.

  • @Sabin06 Yep.

  • this game was actually the reason why i bought a PSX as crazy as it sounds, seeing the FMVs of the entrances was enuff for me to buy it

  • @NY32986 I can actually understand that. WCW was huge back in the day. Nitro sold millions as did Thunder, but looking back, they weren't that spectacular. However, at the time, especially if you hadn't played any of the other wrestling games, they would have been great. In fact, Nitro was my first 3D wrestling game.

  • the best way to enjoy this game was to play warzone or attitude instead

  • LOL.

Especially since you could just create the WCW wrestlers in Warzone and Attitude instead.

  • i know that the game is from 1998 ( i might be wrong though ) but if its Summer of 1999, then what Paul Wight doing out there ?

  • Nitro and Thunder for the PlayStation were bad, but looking at the direction THQ has steered the WWE games in, it makes pine for the days of Sanders Keel as Creative Director.

  • a young Nick Hogan with a pudding bowel barnet.lol

  • NOSTALGIA....

  • i think this was the summer of 98 not 99

  • The Giant broke the TV because he couldn't stand how shitty the game was and the fact that all the developers were praising it.

  • @teh2Dgamer Personally I thought Nitro was Ok, Thunder was obviously an Improvement, Interestingly when Nitro was moved to the PC & N64, it had the 64 characters from Thunder but it was similar to Nitro in that all the hiddens had the finishers of the 16 (Except Benoit, Guerrero and a couple others who had Syxx's Buzzkiller, I think Malenko had the Cloverleaf but I'm not sure at this moment.). This game had all the ppv sets and the real arena logos like the Cow Palace and Nassau Coliseum
