Wrong.

You need two ps3s if you are transfering to a slim console with any recent patch, data transfer from the old fat ps3 with Cfw 3.55 with the patch to the slim console.. done.

I havnt tried it yet but could you make tut on how to make ur USB hook up to ur ps3 cause every time I plug in USB it doesnt pop up but the clock spins like its loading it. But great vid any way
