  • If you do a goole search, for yoni's living room, you will find three more songs, by the Webs. Yoni's is a website, in Israel, that is dedicated to old school, r&b. You can listen to it, or download the music.

  • Thanks for the tip. The Webs recorded several songs on the Dynamic label here in San Antonio. We are trying to track down members of the group.

  • Great Vocals! Don't hear that quality these days!

  • I'm from Houston, and I definitely remember Willie Cooper. I went to Jack Yates, and we always beat, Central. After that, we had to run, for our lives. One way in, one way out.

  • Three of the members of the group, Willie Cooper, Vinson Hubbard and Lionel James were classmates of mine at Central High in Galveston. The fourth member Marshall Boxley also the only deceased member was in the class that graguated two years before us. I had homeroom with Willie in the 9th grade and use to follow him around just to hear him sing. I was with the 3 remaining Webs last week. They still got it! David Scurry

  • Great Job......All I can say...Beautiful just Beautiful! Love it cousin' Sonny! I'm always amazed when I hear you sing. You have such powerful vocals....So Ms Glamour K (cuz), I concede!

  • This is my Uncle Sonny (Willie Cooper)Lead singer. He is from Galveston and he moved to Cali, when I was a little girl. We love him dearly. My oldest son is taking his footsteps and is now recording his own music. We are blessed to have a wonderful singer in our family. Hey, ya'll He can still blow!!!!

  • I'm from Houston. did the Webs play any gigs there, in the 60's?

  • I too believe that Willie Cooper and the Webs were from Galveston. My older sister owned this 45rpm and she lived in Galveston back in 1966 and knew a couple of the musicians in this group. We're from Port Arthur, TX however the musician(s) she knew were Galveston dudes. There was also a hangout in Galveston called "The Session" and I think they used to play there. I'm still researching this and hope that my sister may have more information.

  • I'm from Houston, and I remember, the Webs. I always thought, that they were from Galveston.
