Presenting the night's awards were sponsors and supporters who were introduced by Professor Frances Corner OBE, Head of College. Caroline Marx of Barnet Lawson Trimmings presented the Barnett Lawson Award for Best Use of Trimmings to Charlotte Barry (22) from Liverpool who was praised for her incredible detailing. Tro Manoukian from Biddle Sawyer Silks then presented the Biddle Sawyer Silks Award to Stine Riis (28) from Copenhagen, Denmark for her innovative use of silk with wool, chiffon and patant leather.
Collection of the Year, the most prestigious award of the night was presented by up and coming designer Samata Angel, who was named by Red Magazine as a ONE TO WATCH in 2011. The winner was Nova Chiu (24) from Hong Kong who was judged to have phenomenal technical skill and creative flair.
Other guests on the night included x-factor stars Belle Amie, Barbara Hulanicki, Misty Miller, Daisy de Villeneuve and Jane Shepherdson.
