haah..many people dont like this because they think it's slow paced and boring...but it's so refreshing watching it because unlike so many other sports anime the main character itsnt a genius but instead he struggles to become better and overcomes obstacles with a smile on his face^^ I love it and support it^^ Ganbatte Shou!

Nah even though aoki densetsu shoot uses old rules, its old school and its way of interperting real soccer moves into it is cool.

it's really not confusing. in the english manga version they use the 1st names because that's what we do in America. but in Japan they have honor-fics (kun, and san, etc) and they go by there last names. Tatsuya is Mizuno-kun :)
