This video compares the different sounds of the 3 settings available for the baffle against the Drummer muffler. All changes to the baffle including total removal take less than 2 minutes. Sorry about the sound quality this was recorded on a digital camera (not video camera). The muffler is much louder when sitting on the bike. The Drummer on its own, totally transforms the bike, pulling steadily from 2200RPM to the redline, effectively giving a quicker revving bike and 2 very usable gears to choose from in any situation. The baffle is a compromise in performance and volume. I plan to use it for the daily commute and then take it out for the weekend rides.

  • No remapping has been done to this bike at all. The Drummer is bolt on and ride- the ecm learns quickly. Basically for this video, I changed the baffle in about 2 mins, rode the bike up the hill at a steady state for about 5 mins, came back then shot the video, then repeated. Once again the video doesnt really capture the sound that well. Also Ive notice the Drummer seems to get quieter over time- either that or Im going deaf or getting used to it!!

  • Sounds like it has a lot of popping on deceleration with the stock ECM. I will probably get a drummer for my XB9 and get a new ECM from Eric Buell Racing tuned for it shortly after.

  • This sounds awsome through my active subwoofer at 1,000 watts!!!

  • Excellent video.Thank you for taking the time to do this drummer/baffle comparison,I like the drummer with no baffle and with the mild plate baffle.I have two questions,Do you have to remap your ecm between baffle changes and what air intake mods have you done.
