It hurts to throw away my old magazines, even though I'll never read them again, and my scratched CDs are (almost) completely useless, so I made coasters, saved money, and upcycled.

You don't have to use CDs--you can substitute them with cardstock or something durable, as long as you have a base to work with. You can make them in different shapes, also--go insane.

And be ready to get your hands covered in glue.

Materials:
Colorful pages from a magazine
Old CDs

Tools:
Scissors
Glue (I used Mod Podge, but I think any type of glue will work)
Sponge brush
Pencil (optional. I used one to create a consistent size for each roll)
