It hurts to throw away my old magazines, even though I'll never read them again, and my scratched CDs are (almost) completely useless, so I made coasters, saved money, and upcycled.
You don't have to use CDs--you can substitute them with cardstock or something durable, as long as you have a base to work with. You can make them in different shapes, also--go insane.
And be ready to get your hands covered in glue.
Materials:
Colorful pages from a magazine
Old CDs
Tools:
Scissors
Glue (I used Mod Podge, but I think any type of glue will work)
Sponge brush
Pencil (optional. I used one to create a consistent size for each roll)
Music: "Title and Registration" by Death Cab for Cutie
I really want to do this for my own apt/house one day!!
