all the soft kit is wool, linen or leather, all the armour & mail is iron or steel - as are the helmets and weapons, and yes, aometimes it does bloody hurt.

There are people who make authentic kit, there's some links on our website.

After all it's better to go out for a fight with your mates and then get drunk rather than the other way round.
