Sounds like she is trying to make a The Cure song. I don't know if i really liked. This is the first song I've heard of her.

@foogrrrl In this context, the word "overpower" is deliberately ambiguous. One interpretation is that she could physically dominate her lover and take what she wants by force (evoking thoughts of a typically male behavior); another interpretation is that she senses the power of her femininity and could psychologically dominate her lover. Contrasted to both of these is restraint (lines 5 and 6), possibly due to respect, but retaining a secret feeling of power and control.
