Lyrics

Why do I just wither and forget all resistance
When you and your magic pass by
My Heart's in a dither, dear
When you are at a distance
But when you are near, oh my

It's not the pale moon that excites me
That thrills and delights me

Oh no
It's just the nearness of you

It isn't your sweet conversation
That brings this sensation

Oh no
It's just the nearness of you

When you're in my arms and I feel you so close to me
All my wildest dreams came true
I need no soft lights to enchant me
If you would only grant me the right
to hold you ever so tight
And to feel in the night
The nearness of you

  • sooooo beautiful! i appreciate you giving us the lyrics. thanks. just 2 small corrections: "...All my wildest dreams come true..." and "...If you'll only grant me the right..."

  • What a beautiful woman!

  • OK, so anyway, back to the music. Thanks so much to nbenton2 for posting this link.

  • I couldn't have framed the difference between faith and faithlessness better than "yada, yada, yada". If I am correct that was one of the "psalms" of the late, great man of "reason", Lenny Bruce, another degenerate, self-loathing, self-destructive atheist "reasoner" who died as a junkie on the bathroom floor in a pulp nightmare. You keep your anti-heros & their "yada" & I will reuse Psalm 14:1 in the new context of Mr. Yada, "The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God." Peace unto you.
