This is really bad, vitiating the legacy of a great composer who was a critic of Nazism and used his connections as a composer to protect his Jewish relatives. Ironically, Ken Russell becomes as guilty as the Nazis when they scoured every national figure's family tree like Mendelssohn's in search of Jewish elements in an attempt to discredit him. Ken Russell seems obsessed with Nazis in his films. Maybe he secretly loved them. That should be in his biopic. It'd be just desserts.
