I believe Diana was pregnant at the time this was filmed, early in the pregnancy in fact. Morning sickness and exhaustion are usually at their worst in the first trimester, which could explain her uncharacteristically weak performance. This definately isn't her best work and she did retire the role after having the baby. I still love her voice and am glad she's being so smart about the roles she takes.

There aren't enough negatives in my vocabulary to describe how much I dislike this voice and the pathetic use of it. When I was a kid, this is what people described as hating about opera. I wouldn't walk across the street to put up with this, even if Vargas were in it... She sounds like an old woman, one who has been screaming at people for years...
