Algae expert Stephen Mayfield discusses latest research in algae biotechnology for fuel and pharmaceuticals. Series: On Beyond [Science] [Show ID: 18007]
@wwe3466 Not everyone knows scientific terms. I am one of those people who didn't know it.. and i am sure there are a lot more people who haven't heard the word before.
Oh my goodness...He didn't know what Eukaryotic means!!!!!! how low has the National I.Q. gone down, thats some very basic High school level Science, I don't know but thats quite embarrassing
Ponds are the old way of growing algae. They are way to easy to contaminate with all those nasty things like he mentioned in the story. the new wave of growing will be closed loop bio-reactors. I think Biocentric Energy has a good one and they are now headed by Dr. Brian Goodall (he was responsible for the jets flying on algae derived biofuels)
Then I want to do the same thing with yard waste

He asked that question for those in the audience who don't know the difference between the two.
