The exact stretch of road as seen in the new John Hillcoat movie "The Road" with John Hillcoat with Viggo Mortensen, Kodi Smit-McPhee, and Robert Duvall.

For a much cheerier ending, join Mannie Gentile as he takes the Museum of America cameras to the Southern Pennsylvanian countryside to explore the mystery of the vanishing turnpike. Hold on to your hats as we look at a post-apocalyptic landscape that maybe, just maybe, a perfect place for a zombie movie. Yikes! Or at least some fantastic hiking and biking in one of the most unique places in America - the Lost Highway

  • anyone have a google maps location?

  • @bisket2003

    Hi,

Go to google maps and click in the satellite view of Breezewood PA.

Look just to the northeast of Breezewood and you'll see it. As you zoom in it will even be labeled as "abandoned Pennsylvania turnpike".

    Best wishes,

    Mannie

  • Animals are reluctant to seek out the tunnels due to the wind that continuously courses through them.

  • The tunnel would make a nice bunker for our impending nuclear holocaust. So please rebuild the Howard Johnson's, okay?

  • @kapacon

A first-rate idea... "two scoops of chocolate, please, and a geiger counter for my lady friend here."

  • 1966MRspock,

    You should have worn ear-plugs?

Now you know how the rest of us feel.

    Mannie
