I understand that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but have a little class about it. There is a difference between being critical and being rude.
I don't like your Jesus as a performer. I don't think he really invested into the part. He did a pretty damn good job if it was any other classic musical theatre show. But unfortunately it isn't and I don't believe Jesus is meant to be portrayed in this show as the dashing hero. (Not to rag on Jesus' looks, that doesn't matter) I think hes an average man who became what he was because people believed in him and wanted to follow him.
I'm sorry you feel that way my dear, but I will NEVER apologize for what we did with this production. We brought the most beautiful love story man has ever known to life, and although we certainly adapted the original concept to accommodate a high school-size cast, but we adapted it well. Jesus often preached to enormous crowds, and He, like our Jesus, did so with grace and humility. I personally have never been more profoundly moved by a show, and I would do it again in an instant.
Jesus is a pompous, pious, individual who is "preaching" to a giant population of people as opposed to a single, normal, person, who is teaching a handful of disciples.
