  • Love to hear you speak with that Amerikan accent. Did you teach yourself on the linked course below? Now inspired to learn esperanto because of you. Having never heard this before we were wondering if there is a video of the basics like vowel pronunciation and some other things like how to pronounce "oj" and the "kn" sound and other basics. wish you the best, Mark

  • @harmony850 Lenu.net has a page where you can listen to all the specific sounds of Esperanto. I taught myself through the internet and books. Esperanto was specifically designed to be easy and fast to learn, and it was designed for people to teach themselves. It's fun and easy.

  • @pauswa1966 Thanks for your help, I have downloaded the Kurso de Esperanto 3 course - it's bela, better than one could hope for! Have done section 2 already ... I needed to hear the words. Do you think it would be possible to stumble along with a working knowledge of Esperanto in Italy? thanks again Marko

  • @harmony850 I don't think a lot of people in the general public speak Esperanto. You would need to seek out an Esperanto speaker in Italy, which should not be hard through Lernu. Think how fun it would be to have a new friend there to show you around, and you could practice Esperanto at the same time. That's the beauty of Esperanto. Someone in just about every country speaks it!

  • Ok i would love to learn a 2 language i have been thinking Spanish but i kinda like the idea of Esperanto anyway would learning Esperanto make it easy/help with learning Spanish and how long would it take to know Esperanto

    Thanks

  • @hiphopson Esperanto is far easier than Spanish because its grammar is perfectly regular--no irregular verbs! I learned it in a matter of months. After learning Esperanto, you will more easily learn Spanish because 70% of Esperanto's vocabulary is derived from Latin words and are similar to Spanish. I'm also a tutor for a free inernet Esperanto course: pacujo.net/esperanto/course/materialo/
