My Bloody Valentine - No Place to Go (original version)

To whoever put this on TV Tropes: thank you! You could call it my guilty pleasure, then, since even Kevin Shields hates it - and now my favorite pre-Creation track is "Strawberry Wine", so... yeah, whatever.

Written by Kevin Shields, of course.

The original version, from their "Geek!" EP (1985). The quality on this is godawful, but better than nothing, besides, I happen to like such lo-fi way it sounds. The singer makes his best Ian Curtis here, and MBV make some awesome noise here: without Bilinda Butcher so far, though, but with Debbie Googe already.

My favorite song from MBV's pre-Creation period. I'm putting it up here because there isn't a studio version insofar on YT, besides, it's fair use as soon as I'm concerned. Oh, and the original EP is almost impossible to find.

@thesemenincident in response to all three of your comments: well, they definitely recorded it under the influence of The Jesus and Mary Chain - I presume "Psychocandy" was out already by the time they recorded this EP, or at least "Never Understand" the single. so technically, this IS noise pop.

I dug it up while searching Mediafire (with the Geek! EP in full though) for MBV EPs, they happen to be as rare as it could only be. Well, anyway, Google "my bloody valentine geek! ep download" and it will come up with some suggestions I think... glad you loved it - it is my favorite track from them before they got really huge! Note for note rip off of The Birthday Party's "Bully Bones"! Except sounds weak in comparison - like every band that consequently tried to sound like them.

Oooh, yeah, it's my favourite song off their earlier stuff. I haven't heard this before. It's slower than the "Geek EP" version. Equally great, just different. Kevin has no idea... I love this song. XD "Strawberry Wine" is beautiful, too.

I am so pleased i found this release a couple of weeks ago and the guy in the record shop claimed it had never been played and was not a re-release, it was not cheap but it was totaly worth it!
