Someone correct me if im wrong. But I heard about how if your knees go past your feet its bad for your joints or something?

To answer your question, your knees are going to go past your feet if you don't want to tip over. You want your body to move up and down in a straight line. This guy's squat technique and balance are both pristine-- no wasted movements forward or backward which put lots of strain on the joints.

For further explanation...

Using the momentum of the arm swings takes a tremendous amount of pressure off the knees. There is no live load (which can cause significant joint strain with squats as your legs lose efficiency when bent past a right angle)... this exercise uses the centrifugal force of the arm swing to assist in the body lift, giving you dynamic, low-risk movements with body weight only.
